Set your own challenge
Raise funds to help prevent modern slavery
Overseas walks and treks
If you are feeling adventurous, why not go further afield and try some exciting treks overseas, here are just some ideas.
Your own fundraising event
Organising your own charity event is a great way to raise money for us and there are lots of ways to get involved. Here are some ideas.
- Quiz night – Decide where you want to hold your quiz, whether it is at home, or in a pub or other venue. Work on those questions and invite friends. Make it interesting by doing themed rounds.
- Head shave – Are you brave enough to shave your head or if you’re not quite brave enough why not dye your hair or beard?
- Bake sale – Are you inspired by Mary Berry? Gather some budding chefs and hold a bake off.
- Games night – Decide what you are going to play, send invitations out, ask for a donation to play the game. Why not make it an even more fun evening and do a dinner.
Encouraging sponsors and collecting donations
Options for encouraging sponsors and collecting donations include Wonderful.org (zero fee platform) and GoFundMe, where you can can search “FSCI” and set up a fundraising page for your challenge or event. GoFundme also offers you the option to create a special team page. Both sites will transfer funds to FSCI, and even take care of any Gift Aid, meaning you won’t have to worry about handling any money.
